How to drive Innovation within an Execution Culture?

How does Culture affect Innovation? What culture should you create within a single team to still be effective? How do you build teams that are successful at Innovating and Executing together? What kind of contract should a corporation put together for these kinds of teams? These are some of the questions that Marie Bjerede has to deal with as she leads a very successful design team for Qualcomm. Marie is very passionate about this subject. LISTEN: SEGMENT ONE
Marie set about to build an execution culture, yet it has to co-exist with the innovation culture. Marie tells us what it means to have an execution culture from infrastructure, leadership perspective, values and reward system. She also describe the type of innovation is generally accepted within the execution culture. She also describes how she has to balance it with an innovation culture.

Her team is always exporting the partnership culture to their internal Qualcomm customers through leading by examples and enrolling the people around them to make sure there is a deep understanding.
